Stages 01 – 03

Collection & Tasking

Define the area, find the windows, place the order. Everything upstream of the image, from a polygon on a map to a confirmed acquisition with an operator.

01 · Define

Areas of interest, with the metadata that actually matters

  • Create any way you work — draw a polygon, rectangle or point on the map, import GeoJSON, KML/KMZ or XLSX, or create one manually.
  • Rich attributes — buffer, tags, priority, status, request type, client reference, and a full per-AOI action history.
  • GeoIdentify — reverse-geocoding names the place automatically, single or in batch.
  • AOI Center — a dedicated management and monitoring panel for the whole portfolio.
  • Direct map interaction — hover for a mini toolbar, click for the detail panel, double-click to zoom, right-click for a quick order.
  • Undo / redo — a snapshot stack for every edit, with server-side save and reload.
  • Export — GeoJSON, one AOI at a time or the whole set.

02 · Plan

Every pass, scored before you commit budget

SGP4 propagation on TLEs refreshed twice a day from CelesTrak, over the satellites you selected, for the next seven days.

Pass computation

Elevation, azimuth, duration and maximum elevation for every compatible satellite over the AOI. Heavy propagation runs in a worker so the map never stutters.

Opportunity scoring

Each window is scored on maximum elevation, forecast cloud cover, sun elevation and off-nadir angle — so the shortlist is ranked, not just listed.

Next Pass

Pick any observation point and get the next ten passes over seven days. Global opportunity windows are one click from the header.

Coverage heatmap

Pass and coverage density rendered directly on the map, so gaps in your constellation selection are visible instead of implied.

Sun & terminator

Day/night overlay and solar angle, plus sensor swath corridors drawn as ground footprints.

Analytics & conflicts

Acquisition analytics, operator comparison, quality scoring, and a conflict engine that catches two orders competing for the same satellite window.

Catalog: 501 satellites across 29 operators — Planet (142), Spire (70), CGSTL (60), ICEYE (45), HawkEye 360 (36) and 24 more — filterable by resolution (≤30 cm to >1.5 m), sensor type and operator. Real NORAD IDs, CelesTrak-sourced, updated by cron twice daily. Opportunities export to XLSX.

03 · Order

Archive search or direct tasking — one workflow either way

Search the archives

Unified multi-provider search returns STAC Feature 1.0 across every connected catalog. Browse archives, build multi-source bundles combining several providers, and keep them in a STAC basket you can refresh or cancel.

Task the satellite

Direct operator tasking for Planet, Capella, Maxar, Spire, Airbus OneAtlas and Satellogic. Submission, delivery download and status polling are handled inside SatView.

Order wizard

Multi-step, with a live cost estimator so budget is visible before confirmation.

Mission Planner

Visual drag-and-drop planning against a running budget, plus a tasking optimizer for schedule efficiency.

Weather-aware

Open-Meteo forecasts feed straight into planning, so cloud risk is priced in at scheduling time.

Embargoed zones

Requests over embargoed countries are checked automatically before the order goes through, against the zone list your organization maintains.

Delivered

Tracked in three views — timeline, kanban board and map — with a global Gantt across every AOI and satellite.

Connectors

Ten providers wired end-to-end

Each connector handles authentication, catalog search and ordering. Credentials are stored AES-256 encrypted per team, with a connection test and a health cache.
